Transcript for TikTok does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data.

What the extension does

On www.tiktok.com, it reads the caption information TikTok already sends to your browser for the videos you watch, so it can show the transcript of the current video.
When you open the popup, it downloads the caption file (WebVTT) for that video directly from TikTok's servers. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Transcripts appear in the popup, and are copied to your clipboard or saved as a file on your device only when you click Copy or Download.

Only your preferences, in chrome.storage.sync. If Chrome sync is on, Chrome syncs them to your own Google account.

whether timestamps are shown,
the preferred file format (TXT or SRT),
the last caption language you picked,
a count of your copies and downloads, used only to decide when to show a support link.

No transcripts, video data, browsing history or identifiers are stored or transmitted.

Access to tiktok.com: reads caption data on TikTok pages and downloads caption files from TikTok.

This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. The demo on the home page runs entirely in your browser.
